Maiden edition of NIMA’s ‘i-MICE’ gets powerful industry backing

With 16 premium exhibitors including One Above, TravClan, Jet Wing, Tourism Malaysia and 70 buyers at the inaugural event, next edition of i-MICE poised to become bigger and better

The oldest and largest dedicated association for Indian MICE agents and companies – the Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA) has successfully conducted the maiden edition of its much-awaited, ambitious initiative i-MICE – the annual business forum dedicated to strengthening B2B engagement within India’s MICE ecosystem.
Created to facilitate structured, focused and high-quality B2B interactions between India’s MICE buyers and suppliers, i-MICE brought together leading MICE decision-makers, premium suppliers and distinguished industry stakeholders for a focused day of high-quality business networking and one-to-one B2B interactions.
The maiden edition of i-MICE 2026 registered the impressive presence of 70 NIMA member companies, with one representative from each organisation specially invited buyers from the MICE and travel ecosystem, 16 premium exhibitors representing Hotels, DMCs, Insurance Companies, Tourism Boards and allied industry segments GRN Connect as the Platinum Supplier Partner for focused table-top B2B meetings. Leading companies such as, One Above, TravClan, Jetwing, Tourism Malaysia etc. were among the exhibitors.

Ministry of Tourism Chief Guest at the Inaugural Edition


Arun Srivastava, Joint Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, graced the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest, lending strong institutional support to the initiative and highlighting the growing importance of the MICE sector within India’s tourism and business ecosystem. The event was also attended by several prominent industry leaders, including; Subhash Goyal – Chairman, STIC Travel Group and Patron, NIMA, Vikas Khanduri – CEO, Holiday Merchant and Advisor NIMA, Aman Kaushik – Fulcrum Push, Gaurav Khandelwal – RezLive Akshay Sharma – Asego. Their participation reflected the industry’s collective support for NIMA’s vision of creating stronger business opportunities and a more connected MICE ecosystem in India.

NIMA Leadership Drives the New Initiative


Dr. Nitin Mittal, National Coordinator, NIMA, reiterated association’s vision and commitment towards creating meaningful platforms that deliver tangible business opportunities for its members. Rakesh Arora, Founder & Coordinator, NIMA, and Chairman, i-MICE 2026, introduced the inaugural edition and outlined the concept and objectives of the new business forum. Gajesh Girdhar, Founder & Chairman, Governing Council, NIMA, honoured the Chief Guest during the inaugural ceremony. The NIMA executive team participated actively in the event and coordinated the various activities to ensure seamless engagement between buyers and suppliers.
i-MICE — a new Annual B2B Platform for the MICE industry established in 2014, NIMA is a not-for-profit consortium comprising 300+ carefully screened MICE operators from across India, with strong representation from Tier II and Tier III cities. NIMA members are experienced professionals engaged in MICE and outbound tourism, with established international business relationships.
Looking ahead with the successful launch of its inaugural edition, i-MICE 2026 establishes a new annual platform for NIMA to connect its growing network of MICE buyers with quality suppliers from India and international markets. The initiative reinforces NIMA’s continuing commitment to professionalising, strengthening and expanding India’s MICE ecosystem, while creating greater business opportunities for its members and industry partners.
