St Petersburg exhibits, interacts with tourism stakeholders at SATTE

In order to attract and receive a remarkable number of tourist from India and strengthening the destination awareness among the Indian travel & tourism stakeholders the Committee for Tourism Development of Saint Petersburg and Saint Petersburg Convention Bureau, exhibited at South Asia’s largest international tourism exhibition ‘South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange’ (SATTE) held at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi National Capital.
St. Petersburg, the northern capital of Russia, has not only participated as an exhibitor for the first time but also organised a detailed presentation to enhance the awareness about St Petersburg as a most sought after tourist destination for Indian market.
The booth of St. Petersburg has demonstrated impressive views of the city. The use of audiovisual and 3-D effects helped to show change of day and night, as well as the change of seasons in the city. An unusual addition to the exposition was an art object in the form of a Ferris wheel, with the sights of the St. Petersburg depicted instead of cabins.
On the first day of the exhibition, Officials from  St. Petersburg interacted with travel agents and media. Julia Kuzenskaya, Deputy Chairman of Committee for Tourism Development of Saint Petersburg, and Sergey Azarenkov, General Director of the St. Petersburg Convention Bureau, made a welcoming speech while interacting with travel agents & tour operators participated at South Asia’s largest travel exhibition.
During the event, Russian and foreign experts spoke about travel opportunities in Russia, tour operators for the hosting of foreign guests in St. Petersburg, as well as the Russian hotel booking system. The speakers presented the St. Petersburg unique tourist opportunities for Indian travellers.
Submit Dahiya told the visitors about Tripholiday Tours and Travels, an Indian company for planning tours. Nika Strizhak, an Ambassador of St. Petersburg, reviewed the tourist potential of the Northern capital of Russia.
From Indian side, Zoya Chaudhary, Director of Salvia Promoters Pvt. Ltd, the official partner of Saint Petersburg in India elaborated on the growing potential of St. Petersburg as a unique tourist destination for Indian market.
Olympic Orchestra, a St. Petersburg string quartet, further helped to create a special atmosphere at the media event. This session helped audience learn more about the international partnership between India and Russia and discover St. Petersburg at a special media event as part of the South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange.
