Saudi removes Covid travel ban on citizens from travelling to India

Keen to develop tourism from India, Saudi was the biggest participant at SATTE 22

Oil major and Gulf’s biggest economy, Saudi Arabia has lifted its Covid related travel ban for its citizens to travel to India, Turkey, Ethiopia and Vietnam. Saudi citizens can now travel to these countries.
In recent times, the kingdom has also relaxed Covid directives such as wearing of face masks indoors and vaccination proof requirement to enter public places.
Saudi has also relaxed the time lag of vaccination for Saudi nationals wishing to travel abroad. Saudi citizens were required to get booster dose within three months of taking the second dose. But they can take the booster within eight months of taking their second dose.
As part of Saudi Vision 2030, Saudi Tourism is keen to position itself as a sought after travel destination and is pumping hundreds of billions of dollars in ramping up its tourism appeal and infrastructure.
The kingdom is keen to develop India as one of its major tourism source markets and was recently in India as the largest participant at SATTE 2022, to launch its destination.
