Maiden edition of ‘The Iconic Experiences Show’ to be organised on Oct 16 – 17

TIES 2023 will focus on five sectors of the industry – Weddings, Wellness, Leisure, Conferences and Sustainability

Acknowledging the presence and growing potential of the Luxury Segment, Jyoti Mayal, President, TAAI in collaboration with Chander Mansharamani, Managing Director of Alpcord have announced the launch of a new show – The Iconic Experiences Show.
The event, spread over a period of 2 days, will take place from October 16 – 17, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency New Delhi.
TIES 2023 will focus on 5 sectors of the industry – Weddings, Wellness, Leisure, Conferences and Sustainability. Some of the Exhibiting Countries includes Sri Lanka, Saudi, Korea, Germany and more are being confirmed.
In addition, there are multiple States and DMCs that have also confirmed participation. The Business Session on October 16 will focus on above mentioned 5 sectors and will have additional features like Master Class by a renowned personality along with a few ‘surprise elements.’
The full-day Tourism Summit will also witness a session wherein leading ladies of the tourism and hospitality sector will talk about Sustainability.
In terms of Buyers, TIES has invited Golfers, Wedding Planners, HNIs, Women Influencers etc. and organised Power Breakfasts, High Tea and created more such opportunities for the Buyers and Exhibitors to engage in quality interactions.
While elaborating on the event, Jyoti Mayal shared, “Just like every great success starts with a small idea, TIES too was conceptualized with a small thought that in the post pandemic era, people are looking for experiential travel and not the regular mundane itineraries.”
“In order to provide that to the discerning travellers, travel agents have to make an extra effort – go beyond the regular – look for out of the box ideas, which many of them are not doing. TIES will provide them an opportunity to interact with states, countries, attractions, DMCs directly and learn how ‘differently’ they can package the same old destination – how they can offer an Iconic Experience to their client,” she added.
According to the organisers, The Experiential Show has kept the size and format limited and small this year as they wanted to test waters for a show like this. Next year, the organisers are planning to make this show three-fold in size and offering.
Speaking on the importance of the show, Mayal further said, “I refuse to believe that the era of Travel Agents is over.
‘Infact, all the people that I have spoken to want to work with a travel agent – be it a consumer or a supplier. It is the agents who need to up their game and TIES is a step in the direction to have them do so. This is exactly why we have not made it a closed-door event limited to only pre-booked meetings,” she concludes.
