UDAN Scheme made a difference to Rajasthan

Hugely benefited by the scheme; the state of Rajasthan is aiming to be connected with Kochi via Goa

UDAN one of the ambitious schemes in the aviation sector launched by the Central Government has made a lot of difference for the State of Rajasthan, as informed by the Chief Minister of the state Vasundhara Raje.
Hugely benefited by the scheme, the air connectivity has been improved between many cities of Rajasthan, and various cities of neighbouring states. “We want to thank the Central Government for open sky policy that has made a lot of difference to us. Because of its ambitious scheme – UDAN, we have been connected in various different ways. Apart from connecting our own cities like Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur and Udaipur together, the state has got connected from Jaipur to Agra – which is a long pending demand, and Jaipur to Varanasi which is a very important sector for tourism,” informed the Chief Minister.
Rajasthan is now one of the states which have been connected straight to Agra. However, the state, now is aiming to be linked with Kochi via Goa. “Because after this connectivity we will be able to cover almost every region of the country,” she added.
The State of Rajasthan has been pioneer in starting intra-state connectivity. “We used Supreme Airlines working with Rajasthan government to connect us additionally to Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jaiselmer – which is also now connected by UDAN.  And even today we have continued with that service. We have connected Ranthambhor as well as Kota to make a seamless travel between the tourist destinations of our state,” she informed.
Supreme Airlines is an Indian charter airline based in Jaipur. It operates chartered flights in the state of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
