Ninth ADTOI Convention goes to Ahmedabad, promotes Explore India – Experience India

The association has planned to launch its new logo and national slogan during this convention which is being organized in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.  

The ninth Annual Convention cum Exhibition of Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) is all set to be organized from August 16-18, 2019 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Ahmedabad. Explore India -Experience India has been opted theme of the Convention. The convention is being supported by Gujarat Tourism as the ‘Host State’. PP Khanna Chairman, Sanjay Saxena and Anil Rajput has been appointed as the Co-chairman
of the convention.
While addressing the pre-convention meet held in New Delhi PP Khanna, President of ADTOI expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from State and Managing Director, TCGL Jenu Devan who makes this ADTOI Convention in Ahmedabad a reality.
Jenu Devan IAS, Managing Director, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd. conveyed a message that the ADTOI Convention will bring forth the players from tourism sector to see for themselves the Vibrant Gujarat and experience to promote the destination to the people at large. The Statue of Unity is the latest addition to the tourist attraction drawing crowds from all over India.”
According to him, the state is one of the favourite tourist destinations among the people from all over the country who keep visiting destinations in the state on one or the other occasion round
the year.
While elaborating on the theme of the convention, ADTOI President, PP Khanna said: “Taking the consideration from Prime Minister’s appeal and motivation which says instead of travelling abroad, people of this country must explore rich heritage and culture within the country. This is beneficial for the economy of our country as the revenue generation from tourism will remain within the country.”
Talking about the salient features of the convention, Khanna said that instead of discussing much about agent’s issues only (which is the OTA’s basically) we will look forward to find out the solution. “Also, our focus this time would be on finding the ways to promote state or domestic tourism. We would like to know the investment opportunities available in the state to work on PPP model to enhance the tourism infrastructure in the state.”
He further says, “To boost the growth of tourism we need to have some comprehensive study on domestic tourism. Apart from the figures provided by WTTC, UNWTO and Ministry of Tourism etc. we need to have some other source of information about the data collected from the
Indian states.”
The Convention is likely to be inaugurated by Chief Minister of the State Vijay Rupani along with the Minister for Tourism, Government of Gujarat Jawahar Chavda. Also, the association has invited Minister of State for Tourism (I/C) Prahlad Singh Patel to grace the occasion.
As per the programme the inaugural ceremony will be held at 4:30pm on 16th August 2019 at Hyatt Regency. On 17th there will be Business Sessions, B2B Meetings, Motivation Session besides Exhibition. The association is expecting over 400 delegates mostly members of ADTOI on pan India basis to participate. Pre/post FAM tours to Statue of Unity, Dwarka and Somnath will be held for the delegates.
