Los Angeles to showcase city’s diverse offerings at SATTE 2022

Los Angeles Tourism is strengthening recovery efforts in India with a high impact association with South Asia’s leading travel show – SATTE 2022. During the trade show, the tourism board will showcase the vibrant city of Los Angeles and its diverse offerings at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida in Delhi NCR from 18th to 20th May 2022.
Los Angeles Tourism, along with two DMCs, will invite Indian travellers to start their comeback story in the City of Angeles by showcasing the destination’s abundance of culinary delights, luxury experiences, beaches, advanced MICE infrastructure, as well as unique gastronomic capabilities and destination wedding venues for Indians seeking offbeat luxury in a California setting.
Mutually beneficial partnerships are anticipated given over 1,200 exhibitors, 35,000 buyers, 800 VIPs and delegates, and travel professionals from over 50 countries are slated to visit the trade show over the period of three days.
“With the resumption of international flights and lifting of travel restrictions, we believe India is well-poised to retain its pre-pandemic position as one of the fastest growing international markets to Los Angeles,” said, Seema Kadam, Regional Director – India, Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board says.
 “The demand for travel to Los Angeles is supported by excellent air connectivity, cutting edge infrastructure and remarkable immersive experiences for the evolved Indian traveller. As part of our growth and expansion efforts India, we are now looking actively reaching out to source markets beyond the key metros of Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.”

The India market has long been of high importance to Los Angeles. In 2019 alone, 135,000 Indians visited L.A. injecting $301 million in visitor spending to the local economy. Pre-pandemic, travellers from India used to spend the third highest (after China and Middle East) amount of money per trip; the average trip spend per Indian visitor was $2,257.
