Da Nang officially participated in OTM – Outbound Travel Mart 2026, held from 5–7 February 2026 at the Jio World Centre, one of South Asia’s most prestigious international travel trade events. Participation in OTM 2026 marks a strategic step in reinforcing Da Nang’s position as a distinctive destination for MICE, Wedding Tourism, and High-end Leisure aligned with the Indian market’s growing demand for personalized experiences, cultural depth, and comprehensive event solutions.
Building on the positioning theme ‘Return to Origin’, Da Nang highlighted its destination strengths through MICE and Wedding models set within nature, heritage sites, and local cultural life, while emphasizing flexible product design tailored to Indian rituals, event scales, and aesthetic preferences. This approach demonstrates Da Nang’s capacity to meet diverse needs—from highly personalized destination weddings to large-scale corporate events and international conferences.

Opening of the Da Nang Pavilion at OTM India 2026 on 5th February 2026
The Da Nang Tourism Pavilion at OTM 2026 covered an area of 36 m² and brought together six leading tourism enterprises: Visit Indochina, Phu Minh Quang Travel, Altour Indochina, Hoi An Memories Land, Uniquely Travel, and Vinpearl. Through destination storytelling centered on identity and experience, Da Nang introduced a deep and well-structured ecosystem of MICE and Wedding tourism products, with culture and heritage, cuisine, traditional performing arts, and community spaces positioned as core values.
Promotion at OTM Mumbai 2026 not only strengthened Da Nang’s tourism brand visibility but also enabled enterprises to expand partnerships and advance airline connectivity—toward the goal of developing direct flights from New Delhi and Mumbai to Da Nang. This represents a significant step in Da Nang’s expansion strategy across Western and Southern India, regions that serve as the country’s aviation and tourism hubs and account for approximately 60% of India’s total outbound travel.
The opening ceremony of the Da Nang Tourism Pavilion took place on the morning of 5th February 2026, with the attendance of Le Quang Bien, Consul General of Vietnam in India. In his remarks, he emphasized the role of Vietnam’s overseas missions in promoting economic diplomacy, trade, investment, and tourism between the two countries, while commending Da Nang’s proactive and well-structured approach to expanding and sustaining its presence in the Indian market.
According to the Indian Ministry of Tourism’s Annual Tourism Report (December 2025), Vietnam is among the fastest-growing destinations for Indian travelers, recording nearly a 4.5-fold increase compared to 2019. Amid intensifying destination competition, maintaining consistent market presence, enhancing service quality, and effectively serving specialized segments—including those represented by Da Nang—are considered key to sustaining growth from India.
