ADTOI Convention follows ‘PM Modi’s train flag off initiative’ to Kevadia

With the theme ‘Domestic Tourism – Hope for The Revival, Dekho Apna Desh’ the 10th ADTOI Convention will take place from February 12-14, 2021, at the Convention Hall, Tent City 2, Kevadia, in the vicinity of Statue of Unity

Close on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flag off of trains from the town of ‘Kevadia’ connecting ‘Statue of Unity’ to different parts of the country, the Association of Domestic Tour Operators (ADTOI) has announced the quaint town as the venue of its forthcoming convention-cum-exhibition.
On January 17, PM Modi flagged off eight trains from eight cities of the country to Kevadia. The town is fast gaining in popularity since the inauguration of Statue of Unity, world’s tallest statue standing tall at a massive 182 meters, in 2018.
In its 10th edition, the convention is scheduled on Feb 12-14 at Convention Hall, Tent City 2 at Kevadia. Details concerning business sessions, pre and post-convention FAM tours are expected soon. This is the second consecutive Convention of ADTOI taking place in the state with the support of Gujarat Tourism.

The forthcoming convention will leave lasting impact on the industry for various reasons,
i. e. it will be the first physical tourism event amidst the ongoing war with Covid-19 pandemic. The event is poised to send positive message across the tourism and hospitality industry, worst affected by the pandemic.

Speaking on the Convention, ADTOI President PP Khanna said that while the war with the pandemic is not yet over, the oraganising committee will make sure that all the SOPs and Covid-19 norms implemented by the state and Central Government are being followed by all participants. As the vaccination drive has been started in India, and there is a sign of positivity among the domestic travellers, such events will expedite restoration of touristic activities. He believes that the convention will be a great motivation for domestic tour operators as well.
ADTOI’s Secretary General and Convention Chairman, Chetan Gupta informed: “In the wake of Covid-19 RT-PCR test is mandatory for all the delegates participating at the Convention. The negative test Covid-19 report will have to be submitted with the Officials of ADTOI 72 hours before the departure.”
Ashok Dhoot, ADTOI’s Gujarat Chapter Chairman has been appointed as the Co-Chairman of the convention. In order to attract maximum delegates the association is offering highly discounted packages to the members.
