Year 2022 going to be the year of Kerala Tourism, Krishna Teja

Almost after two years when the pandemic is moving towards endemic and the Indian Govt has announced to open all tourism activities, the most loved one and popular state for tourism – Kerala has aggressively embarked on the promotional activities.
A delegation, including hoteliers, tour operators, transporters and other tourism service providers of Kerala led by the Director Tourism Shri Krishna Teja interacted with the industry stakeholder in Delhi recently. Rajiv Mehra, President, Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) and Jyoti Mayal, President of Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) were also present on the occasion.
While interacting, the Director of Kerala Tourism informed that the state is all set to receive travellers from all parts of the country and abroad in an unprecedented manner. The state has a calendar of events to be organised in next one year.
“For Kerala, 2022 is going to be the year of Kerala Tourism. The year ahead is packed with a hectic schedule of absorbing events and festivities including the Kerala Travel Mart in May, Champions’ Boat League (CBL) in August-November and Kochi Muziris Biennale in December-March besides several cultural and literary fests and adventure tourism activities,” informed Krishna Teja.
Apart from that, from religious occasions to festivals for specific deities, Kerala is home to a great heritage of festivals. The festivals of Kerala personify the very spirit and essence of the land and these experiences will be forever etched in your heart.
Feast, Theyyam, Music & Dance, Patayani, Pooram, Boat Race, Traditional festivals, Monsoon festivals are some of the categories of festivals to be organized across the year.
While talking about the uniqueness of the state he further informed that the state has a variety of experiences for tourists like houseboats, caravan stays, jungle lodges, plantation visits, homestays and city life, ayurveda-based wellness solutions, countryside walks and adventure activities including trekking to verdant hills.
Starting with a Partnership Meet in the national capital, a series of travel trade networking activities, including participation in Trade Fairs, and organising B2B Partnership Meets and roadshows have been planned to introduce the new products to a wider audience.
