ICPB announces 12th CIC from 29-31 August in Kochi

Mapping the Sustainable MICE Future of India has been chosen as the theme of the convention.

The Queen of Arabian Sea – Kochi will see the gathering of a large number of Meeting Incentives Conference and Convention (MICE) peofessionals from India and abroad as the India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) has announced to organise its 12th Conventions India Conclave (CIC) from August 29-31, 2019 at Grand Hyatt Kochi.
The Convention venue –  Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty perched on 26 acres of plush green land on the serene Bolgatty Island is a waterfront urban resort overlooking the backwaters of Vembanad Lake. Spanning over 3,000 Sq.m, Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty offers spectacular meeting and event spaces.
The well thought theme of the Convention –‘Mapping The Sustainable MICE Future Of India’ goes well with the importance of MICE and its economic and social impact on the industry stakeholders and the country as well.
Elaborating on the Convention destination – Kochi, Chander Mansharamani, Vice Chairman, ICPB says, “We have chosen Kochi as our forthcoming Convention destination keeping in view of the upcoming MICE infrastructure, and the city emerging as a preferred MICE destination. We are expecting good number of foreign buyers including two groups of international buyers from USA apart from the domestic buyers/sellers and corporates.”
Ministry of Tourism Government of India and Department of Tourism Govt of Kerala Kerala are the Platinum Sponsors of the event. Grand Hyatt Kochi which is one of the largest Convention center is the Venue Partner of the forthcoming Convention India Conclave.
ICPB  is the only travel industry body with participation from the entire MICE industry, with members from state governments, hotels, airlines, tour operators, travel agents, professional conference organisers, event managers, educational institutions and more.
Besides projecting India as a conference destination, the aims and objectives of ICPB include the development of conference traffic to India supported by continuing programs of creating better awareness of the role and benefits of congresses and conventions in the context of national objectives.
