TAAI appeals members not to sale and promote Turkey, Azerbaizan

The association has urged to the Government of India to immediately issue strong travel advisories against countries like Turkey and Azerbaijan

In response to the recent cowardly and barbaric attack in Pahalgam that targeted innocent locals and tourists, India’s hardest strike on terrorist training camps in POK and Pakistan is strongly being supported by the oldest and largest Indian Travel Congress- the Travel Agents Association of India.
The association has expressed its unwavering solidarity with the motherland — India — and stands firmly with its armed forces, the Government of India, and the brave citizens residing in the border regions of Gujarat, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Leh & Ladak and Jammu & Kashmir.
Furthermore, the association has urged to the Government of India to immediately issue strong travel advisories against countries like Turkey and Azerbaijan, whose diplomatic posture and associations suggest implicit or explicit support to hostile regimes that promote or harbor terrorism from Pakistan.
The communique released to media, reads: “These countries thrive on Indian tourism, and it is unacceptable for Indian travellers to fund destinations that do not respect India’s security concerns. TAAI calls upon the travel trade across India to refrain from the promotion and sale of tourism to these nations until their governments demonstrate support for India’s fight against terrorism.”
“The security of our citizens is also at risk when they travel to these nations. No Indian tourist should be sent to a country that disrespects our soldiers, our citizens, or our sovereignty.”
The communique further reads: “TAAI will stand shoulder to shoulder with all its members in affected regions of Western and Northern India. We are activating a special response team to provide continuous support, guidance, and assistance to all members facing disruptions or distress.”
“As the nation’s apex travel trade body, we reaffirm that we are available 24×7, and we will leave no stone unturned in protecting the interests of our members and the industry at large.”
Tourism has always been a messenger of peace — but patriotism comes before business. And when our nation bleeds, we rise not just as travel professionals, but as proud Indians. We will not forget, we will not forgive — and we will act with responsibility and resolve.
TAAI appeals to all its members across India and overseas to stand united in support of our affected colleagues and citizens, refuse business from or with any country that supports terror and raise their voices for justice, security, and accountability.
