ICPB Convention: 120 buyers to shop for India’s MICE offerings at CIC

More focus on the quality of buyers this year, Mansharamani

India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) will host around 120 buyers, international and domestic, at the forthcoming Convention India Conclave (CIC) that is taking place later this month in Kolkata. Close to 300 delegates are expected to attend the event. The event is scheduled from August 29 to 31.
According to ICPB Vice Chairman Chander Mansharamani, 40 quality international buyers from several countries are attending the event along with around 80 to 100 domestic buyers. He also informed that there has been an increased focussed this year to ensure the quality of the buyers who are attending the event.
CIC this year, 11th in the series, has been themed “Scaling New Height – Building for the Future” with key focus on enhancing ICPB’s activities, competing in the international market and creating opportunity for bidding for international conferences. The panel discussions will cover topics on PPP for Destination Marketing, Social Media Marketing and developing winning formula to win international bids, among others.
Kolkata’s newly built Biswa Bangla Convention Centre (BBCC) is hosting the event. Billed as one of the largest convention centre facilities in the country, Biswa Bangla Convention Centre boasts of a 3200 seating capacity auditorium and a host of other meeting and conference facilities including conference halls, break-away areas and space for exhibitions.
