GoAir replaces IndiGo in OTP performance

Reports highest OTP for second consecutive month

According to the latest available DGCA data, leading low-cost carrier GoAir has delivered the best On-Time Performance (OTP) and second highest Passenger Load Factor, for the month of October 2018.
This is GoAir’s second consecutive best OTP performance amongst the Indian carriers in as many months, a spot largely occupied by India’s largest low-cost carrier as well as the biggest airline in India by market share and GoAir rival, IndiGo. GoAir reported a similar performance in September too. GoAir attributes the result to its continued focus on enhancing customer experience.
With the total score of 90.5 % flights on time, GoAir is at top of the list on the parameter of on-time performance (OTP) for October 2018. OTP of scheduled domestic airlines is computed by the DGCA for four metro airports viz. Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. The airline has enhanced its OTP as compared with 90.4 per cent in September 2018.
Commenting on the achievement, Cornelis Vrieswijk, CEO, GoAir said, “It is indeed gratifying that GoAir continues to top the on-time performance for second consecutive month. Operational Excellence across the board is something we strive for at GoAir and our On Time Performance stands testimony to this. Stringent processes and systems along with a committed ground force of staff drives our operations and we are proud to have achieved this measure of excellence. We will continue to work towards providing our customers best in class services and justify the faith that they have reposed in us.”
