His Excellency Governor of Odisha Ganeshi Lal, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha – Naveen Patnaik, Union Ministers and State Ministers have been invited to grace this state level workshop.

Mohanty suggested: “Our four zonal Vice Presidents (East, West, North & South) should prepare a small (5 minutes) audio visual presentation showcasing the tourism potential in their respective zones, and present to all the delegates and decision makers from the Government attending the conclave.”
Last year the HRAO had suggested for revamping digital marketing strategies and website of Odisha Tourism. “It is heartening to see that the Government took our suggestions very positively and I am sure you all must be seeing in the social media Odisha Tourism is aggressively marketing the State,” said Mohanty.  The Odisha Tourism website has also been revamped and new website has been created.
While explaining further, Mohanty said: “We had also given various suggestions such as preparation of a tourism master plan for the next 5 years, more International flight connectivity, allotment of land on industrial tariff to prospective hoteliers, infrastructure development at Samuka Beach, star category hotels at tourist destinations, development of Chilika lake as an International Water sports Hub, etc.,  which the government is thinking on it and we are hopeful the Government will take appropriate action in this regard.”
“Since the Government is taking HRAO suggestions very seriously, I urge to the members of this fraternity to share their suggestions with us for the betterment of this sector,” he added.
“The Odisha Tourism has been conducting road-shows aggressively in the domestic market. They have also planned for conducting road-shows in different countries which have high tourist traffic to India.I would suggest all hoteliers must participate in the road-shows and present their brochures to the tour operators of other states/countries.”
“As we plan to sell Odisha as a 21 night destination, I would specially like the hoteliers of Western Odisha and KBK region to participate and present their brochures. With direct flights to Malaysia and Thailand international tourism is already growing in a large number,” he said.
