Encalm Hospitality partners with GMR Rugby Premier League

Known for its impeccable lounge services, meet & assist solutions, and premium touch points across India’s major airports, Encalm Hospitality is extending its service ethos beyond terminals and into the hearts of communities — where sport, celebration, and connection thrive.
Moving forward, Encalm Hospitality is set to bring its signature service excellence to the world of sports as it partners with the inaugural edition of the GMR Rugby Premier League (GMR RPL).
The move marks a significant milestone in Encalm’s growth story — transitioning from redefining airport hospitality to crafting memorable moments in live sporting environments.
Speaking about the partnership, Vikas Sharma, CEO, Encalm Hospitality, said: “At its heart, Encalm is about connection—between people, places, and experiences. Supporting GMR RPL is our way of engaging with a new and passionate community. This partnership also reflects our continued evolution as a brand. GMR RPL is a dynamic platform, and we’re excited to play a role in enhancing how audiences experience the game.”
As the GAAR RPL prepares to debut at Mumbai’s Andheri Sports Complex (Mumbai Football Arena) from June 15-29, 2025, Encalm will play a key role in enhancing the on-ground experience for players, teams, and fans alike.
India’s first franchise-based Rugby Sevens league, GMR RPL, will feature six dynamic teams — Delhi Redz, Hyderabad Heroes, Kalinga Black Tigers, Chennai Bulls, Mumbai Dreamers, and Bengaluru Bravehearts — and bring together global rugby talent alongside India’s finest. The league will showcase 34 matches over 15 days, with coverage broadcast on Star Sports, JioCinema, and RugbyPass TV, positioning it as a major new entrant in the Indian sports calendar.
With rugby now played across over 320 districts in India, RPL is not just launching a league— it’s launching a movement. Backed by a 10-year strategic partnership between Rugby India and GMR Sports, the league also lays out a pathway from grassroots development to international representation, with long-term aspirations for Olympic qualification by 2032 and 2036.
