Destination NSW is unlocking new opportunities for the visitor economy, connecting NSW tourism suppliers with 60 influential travel buyers at its Focus on India & Southeast Asia event this week.
The event brought together delegates from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and India for two days of appointment-based workshops, a networking dinner and a hands-on familiarisation program.
The itinerary showcased iconic and emerging visitor experiences across the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Shoalhaven, Wollongong, Southern Highlands, Port Stephens and Hunter Valley – highlighting the diversity and depth of NSW’s offering.
India and Southeast Asia are high-potential markets for NSW. Combined, these countries accounted for 13 per cent of international visitors, 16 per cent of international visitor nights, and 12 per cent of international visitor expenditure in NSW for the year ending June 2025.
