CNTO’s ‘Photography Competition’ aimed at reaching out to a wider India

200 prizes up for grab including India-China return air ticket and mobile phones

In order to increase the visibility of Chinese culture and its diverse tourism attractions and appeal, the China National Tourist Office (CNTO) New Delhi office has rolled out a pan-India photography competition China Culture and Tourism Photography Competition for the Indian nationals. Rolled out on July 10 the competition is open for another fortnight until August 25.
The competition guidelines restricts the pictures submitted to be related to China’s culture and tourism with contributors holding the exclusive rights to the pictures submitted and shot in the recent years.
CNTO Delhi Director Tian Xin says that the competition is open for “all Indian nationals” and is aimed at reaching out to a larger audience pan-India in order to foster closer China-India cultural and tourism exchange, enhance understanding of Chinese culture and tourism in India, to serve the overall development of China-India relations and promote mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of two countries, some of the understandings reached out by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at their informal meeting in China’s Hubei Province in April 2018.
In order to participate the participants need to log on to www.chinatourism.in, fill up a registration form and upload not more than five pictures in JPEG or JPG format of at least 2 MB size each without any major editing. The photographs submitted must also be photographed by the contributor himself without any ownership dispute. The competition will be judged by the organisers and expert photographers.
Xin also informed that the content of the photo submitted must be positive that helps Indian understanding of Chinese culture and tourism and enhances mutual understanding and friendship between the citizens of the two countries. There are about 200 prizes up for grabs, including 10 first prizes, 20 second prizes, 30 third prizes, 50 finalists and 100 encouragement prizes.
