One of the well known brands of Rajasthan in luxury hotel segment – Shapura Hotels is expanding its presence in three cities of the state Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaiselmer and Capital City of the country – New Delhi. These hotels are under development and expected to be operational by October 2018.
Elaborating more on the upcoming properties Digraj Singh Shekhawat, Director, Shahpura Hotels says: “Heritage being our USP, we have opted historical houses that will be converted into the hotels. Since we are known to run boutique and luxury hotels, all upcoming properties will have 50 keys to cater the luxury inbound and domestic travellers.”
Shahpura Hotels caters to the luxury inbound and domestic segment. Forty percent of its total arrival is coming from domestic segment i.e. Kerala, Gujarat, Mumbai and New Delhi which are important source markets, whereas the UK, Europe and Australia for inbound travellers. Shahpura Hotels recorded an increase of 15 percent in the year 2017. “We are expecting to generate more business in the year 2018 as we have got new markets like New Zealand and Russia, apart from our conventional markets.”
“We are quite sure that the upcoming hotels will have the advantage of our brand awareness which will be catalyst in attracting guest to our new hotels. We are planning to concentrate on UK and Europe markets to get more guests from this part of the world. Apart from inbound travellers, the domestic travellers will be a key segment for us to make it a profitable venture in a shortest period. As these properties will have banqueting facilities, the wedding segment will be promoted at its best,” added Shekhawat.
While elaborating on the branding Shekhawat further informed that apart from participating in luxury travel marts – like ILTM, WTM London and ITB Berlin the company has decided to go for digital promotions through big online players.
