AP capital Vijayawada to be on international airline route map

IndiGo to connect Vijayawada with Singapore introducing twice-weekly starting December

A new Andhra since its bifurcation in 2014, the state of Andhra Pradesh will witness its first international airline route connectivity between the state capital Vijayawada and Singapore starting December. The move comes as AP’s collaborative initiative with IndiGo to introduce international services from Vijayawada.
As part of the partnership, IndiGo will operate twice-weekly non-stop services between Vijayawada and Singapore. The first flight will take off from Vijayawada International Airport on December 04, 2018, booking for which is now open. IndiGo currently operates five daily non-stop flights to Singapore, connecting Chennai with twice-daily and one each from Bengaluru, Kolkata and Trichy.
According to Ajay Jain, IAS Principal Secretary- Energy, I&I, “We feel exited to engage IndiGo Airline being a most preferred airline to connect state capital Vijayawada to Singapore. This will fulfil the dreams of Telugu Diaspora in Singapore and great convenience for our investors and business community”. Virender Singh, CEO- APADCL said “this is just a beginning to add more such flights to many more destinations”.
